What is TISAX® – Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange
TISAX is a testing and exchange mechanism of test results according to the industry-specific standard VDA-ISA, which was defined and is maintained by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The standard concerns the secure processing of confidential information, the protection of prototypes and data protection in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for potential business between car manufacturers and their service providers or suppliers. In 2017, the VDA based TISAX on the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard and its implementation, thus creating a system for the exchange of standardised test results as an expression for the automotive industry.
